Gail's 4 best trivial excuses for travel:

I have traveled to the Rockies in fall, just to have a yellow aspen leaf in my wallet....it is supposed to bring you wealth.

I stopped in Buffalo NY just to have authentic Buffalo wings while on my way to Niagra. By the way, they were the WORST wings I had ever eaten!

I have gone to the summit of Pikes Peak just to stand where "America the Beautiful" was inspired to see for myself what it was that she saw....she wrote it well.

I traveled to a ghost town in Colorado called Crystal, just to photograph the mill there. It was a treacherous 6 mile trip that took us 45 min, in a 4WD. It was the most worth it goal trip I had. The mill was brilliant, the ghost town spectacular, and Marble...the nearest town of about 12 residents was where I fell in love with the west.
