Grab your spot on a liveaboard expeditionIndonesia
Sea kayaks, coral reefs, remote islands and the chance to snorkel with whale sharks all feature on this new nine-day liveaboard expedition from Komodo to Sumbawa.
Departing 7–15 September 2026, this small-group expedition takes travellers from Labuan Bajo on Flores Island through the legendary waters of Komodo National Park and onwards to the quieter, less-explored islands of northern Sumbawa. Along the way, you'll combine sea kayaking, snorkelling, diving and island hikes while travelling aboard the Jakaré, a comfortable liveaboard vessel with just five ensuite cabins.
The route is packed with scenery that’ll make you forget to check your phone (and that’s a promise). Think volcanic islands rising from clear blue water, remote beaches, colourful coral reefs and wildlife encounters both above and below the surface. You'll paddle past rugged coastlines, explore hidden bays and keep an eye out for Komodo dragons in their natural habitat.
As the journey heads west, the crowds thin out and the adventure ramps up. Highlights may include kayaking at Pantai Merah (Pink Beach), exploring the reefs and waterfalls of Pulau Moyo and snorkelling alongside whale sharks in Saleh Bay.
Back on board, there's time to swap stories over dinner, watch the sunset from the deck and recharge before the next day's adventures begin.
With just one departure scheduled and only six spots remaining, this is a rare opportunity to experience one of Indonesia's most spectacular marine regions from a front-row seat. Get on it.
