AUKO opens new wellness retreatPhong Nha–Ke Bang National Park, Vietnam

Vietnam’s cave country is about to get a little more comfortable.

Set along the Son River in the middle of Phong Nha–Ke Bang National Park, the new AUKO Eco-Wellness Lodges are set to open in 2026 with an all-inclusive, eco-focused stay that leans equally into adventure and switching off properly.

The 30 tented lodges sit on the edge of jungle and limestone karsts, close to the famous Son Doong Cave cave network. But while the location is wild, the setup isn’t exactly roughing it. Think open-air bathtubs, reflexology foot baths, river views and wellness ex-periences designed around the landscape itself.

AUKO has built the retreat with flooding and environmental impact firmly in mind, using elevated bamboo walkways, reclaimed timber and adaptable glamping structures designed to work with the terrain rather than against it. It’s also set to become Vietnam’s first EDGE Advanced-certified eco-wellness lodge.

Guests can choose between three “ways” during their stay: The Open Way for a flexible mix of rest and movement, The Still Way for deeper wellness experiences, and The Wild Way for those who’d rather balance sound healing with jungle trekking and cave adven-tures.

Meals are included too, with forest-to-table dining focused on Central Vietnamese fla-vours, fresh river fish and seasonal produce.

And while there’s yoga, hydrotherapy and meditation caves on offer, the overall vibe feels less strict wellness retreat and more ‘leave your phone in the room and go outside for a bit’. Brb, we’re booking our stay now.
